Since Hurricane Helene devastated North Carolina in late September, we’ve received hundreds of requests on our Facebook page to create a guide to Western NC stores that offer online shopping.
We always try to shop small businesses when we travel, because for every $1 you spend at a small business, around 67¢ stays in the local economy!
And with Helene wreaking havoc and devastation right as Western North Carolina stores were ramping up for peak Fall travel season, many of these businesses are desperate for revenue to make up for their immense losses.
With Christmas coming up, you can support NC by buying gifts from North Carolina. So we’re assembling county-by-county guides to all the Western North Carolina shopping options available online.
We’re starting with Haywood County NC, which holds a special place in my heart because the largest town, Waynesville, was founded by my ancestor, Colonel Robert Love.
Read on for our guide to 25 Shops in Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Canton, and Clyde that offer online shopping, including everything from fashion boutiques and art galleries to bath & beauty, gourmet chocolates, and more!
