Glamping in Georgia
1. Dome Home, Lake & Mountain Views, Hot Tub

Head to Hiawassee GA for a hip geodesic dome glamping experience, with a hot tub where you can while away the evening under the stars.
You’ll have access to a terrace, BBQ grill, WiFi, AC and heat, and free parking. There’s also a private bathroom, and linens and towels are provided.
The beautiful Bavarian-style mountain town of Helen is nearby, with lots of North Georgia wineries and all the Appalachian hospitality you’d expect a Georgia mountain town to offer.
While there, don’t miss a chance to visit Anna Ruby Falls, a gorgeous pair of waterfalls with a drop of over 150 feet and a relatively easy paved hiking trail.

2. Sleep Under the Stars Experience
Morganton GA
Located just over 6 miles east of Blue Ridge GA in the tiny town of Morganton, this property offers a chance to sleep in a Sioux-inspired tipi surrounded by woods and a pretty creek.
You’ll have all the amenities you would expect in a tiny home while sleeping under canvas. Visitors can relax by the fire pit, and watch horses grazing in the nearby pasture.
Guests may also enjoy fresh eggs, homemade muffins, and North Georgia wines, as well as handmade soaps and a s’mores starter kit.
You get access to a barbecue pit, free WiFi, a private bathroom, a queen-sized bed with linens, and fresh towels. There’s also a small kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave, and a camp-style washing station.

3. Timberline Glamping at Unicoi State Park

Many Georgia State Parks offer cabin rentals, but in our experience it’s rare to find places that offer glamping in a state park.
Located just outside the heart of Helen GA, Unicoi State Park offers a chance to do just that with the deluxe safari tents at their Timberline Glamping site.
Each tent includes a comfortable bed, clean linens, comfy places to sit and eat, and a coffee maker. There’s also an air conditioner, heater, places to charge your phone, and chances to swing in a hammock or relax by the fire pit.
The 1,050-acre Unicoi State Park also offers miles of hiking trails, a beach and swimming area on the 53-acre Unicoi Lake, fishing in Smith Creek, a playground for the kids, ziplines, and much more!

Glamping in North Carolina
4. The Glamping Collective

The Glamping Collective offers a truly deluxe experience. Guests can choose to stay in one of their domes or glass-fronted cabins and soak in stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
Many of their accommodations come with hot tubs and fireplaces, and all of them come with a gorgeous view. There are private bathrooms and kitchenettes, as well as bed linens and towels.
This property is just amazing, with miles of North Carolina hiking trails, communal patios, and fire pits for relaxing and making new friends.
There’s also a chance to see debris that landed on the property, which experts have confirmed is the ‘“trunk” from the SpaceX Dragon mission to the International Space Station!

5. Mountain Springs Cabins

When you stay in one of the many cute cottages, cabins, and yurts at Mountain Springs Cabins in Asheville, you can enjoy stunning gardens and creek views from your own private little nook.
Each of these Asheville cabins has AC, a well-equipped kitchenette, bed linens, and towels. There’s also WiFI throughout the property.
It’s just 20 miles from downtown Asheville, giving you a chance to explore this burgeoning mountain metropolis. You can spend a day exploring the Biltmore Estate, or enjoy one of Asheville’s many great restaurants and breweries.
There’s also the River Arts District, where you can see local artists in action, and visiting the free Botanical Gardens at UNCA is one of our favorite things to do in Asheville NC.

6. Natures Dome @SmokyMountain

Spending a few days at Natures Dome @SmokyMountain puts you in the perfect place to embrace the amazing views just beyond your doorstep.
But it also provides a great jumping-off point for exploring the Smoky Mountains, including the nearby towns of Bryson City and Cherokee NC.
This geodesic dome comes complete with outdoor and indoor seating, AC, and a fully equipped kitchenette. There’s even a TV, although those seeking a more “unplugged” weekend getaway may find they don’t need it!
They also provide bed lines, and towels for the private bathroom, and there’s a hot tub right outside the dome where you can have a soak while looking up at the beautiful evening skies.

7. Tranquil Haven Luxy Yurt- Creekside w/ Hot Tub

Located in a wooded area right next to a creek, this yurt is so well equipped, you could practically live here full-time! We love the gorgeous outdoor space, where you can relax on your porch or soak in the hot tub.
There’s a living room with a sofa, armchair, and TV, plus a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a bathroom that easily equals any found in a nice apartment.
There are two bedrooms: One has a Queen-sized bed, while the other has two Twin beds.
The charming mountain town of Robbinsville is just 20 minutes away, while the Fontana Dam is 45 minutes away, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is right at your fingertips!

It’s a chance to be immersed in nature, falling asleep to the sounds of cicadas and crickets and being awoken by North Carolina bird song, while enjoying all the luxuries of a sweetly unique hotel room.

Glamping in Tennessee
9. Mimosa Hill Wanderlust Woods

There’s a beautiful creek that rushes through the glamping site, creating the perfect lulling soundtrack for sleep.

Their location is a great jumping-off spot to visit nearby Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you’ll find all sorts of indoor and outdoor adventures to explore.

10. Smoky Hollow Outdoor Resort Covered Wagon

If you want a glimpse of what it might have been like for pioneer settlers heading west, you’ll definitely enjoy spending a night in one of Smoky Hollow Outdoor Resort’s covered wagons.
Their wagons are complete with a King-sized bed as well as bunk beds, a kitchenette, a dining space, a picnic area, and access to a communal fire pit.
They have AC and heat available, which are luxuries those pioneers never could have dreamed of! Note that there is a shared bathroom here, but it’s nicer than the ones you find at most campgrounds.
There’s also a mini market at the luxury tent for emergency items, and an indoor and outdoor play area for the kids. Dollywood is just 10 miles away.

11. Tranquil Farm Yurt
Birmingham Highway, Chattanooga TN
Located in Chattanooga, about 7 miles from Lookout Mountain, the Yurts at Tranquil Farm will make you a very happy camper.
There are two beds complete with linens, a kitchenette, and a picnic table and grill for outdoor dining. You’ll also have a beautiful view of the surrounding forest right from your door.
There’s a super cool (and private) outdoor bathroom with a toilet, open-air shower, and bathtub where you can soak beneath the stars.
They also have an outdoor communal swimming pool to enjoy. And Raccoon Mountain Caverns, the most geologically active caverns in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, is just 5.4 miles away.

12. Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains

Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains is located on 182 acres of stunning forest, just a few miles from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Their deluxe tents vary in size, and can accommodate couples and families alike. Some of the tents come with private bathrooms, while others require that you share a bathhouse.
There are nightly campfires and complementary s’mores as well as live music, activities for the kids, and morning yoga. This Tennessee campground also has a dining hall, with an à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily.
It’s is a great place to stay in Pigeon Forge, with Dolly Parton’s Stampede just 10 minutes away and Dollywood a mere 15 minutes away.

Glamping in Virginia
13. Skyline Yurt

Described as a yurt and a villa in the same blurb, this is one of the most luxurious Virginia glamping options we’ve seen. This massive 1320 sq foot yurt is huge, and located near the entrance to Shenandoah National Park.
It has an indoor fireplace and a hot tub on the terrace, where guests can while away an afternoon enjoying stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, or an evening of spectacular stargazing.
The terrace also has a grill, and plenty of space for entertaining and games.
There are 3 bedrooms with linens and towels, a lounge complete with a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and even a washing machine!

14. Shenandoah Valley Glamping

Shenandoah Valley Glamping offers luxurious tents with a fully equipped kitchenette (including a microwave, toaster, and fridge), free WiFi, and private parking.
The bright and airy tent also has a small dining area where guests can enjoy their meals, plus a private bathroom with shower.
There’s an outdoor fireplace and picnic area where visitors can enjoy the picturesque scenery the Shenandoah Valley is famous for, with a complimentary s’mores kit you can enjoy during your stay.
This campground is near some of the best caverns in Virginia, with Endless Caverns 18 miles away and Luray Caverns 25 miles away. Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park are just 27 miles away.

15. Shenandoah Yurt

This yurt/villa is the height of luxury camping in Virginia. There’s so much to do here, from relaxing on the terrace and taking in the gorgeous views of Shenandoah National Park to soaking in the hot tub and firing up the grill.
Inside the villa, you’ll find 3 bedrooms, a lounge with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. There are also board games in the indoor play area to keep everyone entertained.
They have a bike rental service on the property if you want to explore further afield, and an EV charging station is available to guests.
