Whisking you away to a serene setting that’s both historic and modern, Barnsley Gardens Resort is widely considered one of the most romantic getaways in the south.

Today the property offers guests all the delights of an exquisite Southern estate, including mouthwatering restaurants, a sporting club, championship golf course, 10-acre lake, horseback riding, hiking trails, and more.

There’s also a European-style spa, which offers complimentary steam, sauna, and whirlpool along with a variety of customizable packages that can include couples massages.

In terms of lodging, there are 90+ cottages and suites that feature clawfoot tubs, wood-burning fireplaces, and private porches. There are also an 55 guest rooms and suites available at the Inn At Barnsley Resort.

It’s an amazing place for a weekend getaway, especially when the resort is decked in Christmas lights for the holiday season.
